We’ve been blessed so far this summer with glorious growing conditions; warm days, cool nights, and just a touch of rain. With the early bud break and these perfect conditions were in line to receive our first grapes at the end of August the earliest we have ever harvested (prior to this, the earliest start of harvest was September 10th). Were keeping our fingers crossed that this stretch of good weather continues right through to the middle of October.
Our 2011 Riesling ($21) has just been released in time to be enjoyed over these long, hot summer days. The balance between sugar and acid is so harmonious that fans of dry Riesling will be delighted, while those who prefer a hint of sweetness will also be enamoured. This wine is made all the more refreshing by its low alcohol of 10.4%. Click here to read a review by Ontario’s Riesling guru, Michael Pinkus.
