Labour Day has come and gone and our thoughts at the vineyard have turned from sunny evenings at the beach to preparing the winery for the upcoming harvest. This past summer has been one of tremendous productivity, but also recognition for the hard work the team puts into making the highest quality wine possible. We were honoured to receive a number of accolades at WineAlign’s 2014 National Wine Awards of Canada:

  • 2012 County Pinot Noir Platinum
  • 2011 Pinot Noir Gold
  • 2012 Chardonnay Gold
  • Riesling Silver
  • Calcaire Bronze

In addition to these wonderful distinctions, we were humbled further by Tim Atkin’s 94 point review of the 2012 County Chardonnay, which he recently tasted at the 2014 International Cool Climate Chardonnay Celebration.
The pizza oven has been a flurry of activity, we are all so pleased to host visitors from near and far every weekend on the patio; if you haven’t had the chance to visit the county yet this summer, no fear, as the colours of the county will soon be at their finest and the pizza oven will still be open Saturday and Sundays until Thanksgiving.
Note: The Pizza Oven is now CLOSED for the season. It will re-open in May 2015.
Our organic garden is also tremendously productive: we will have heirloom tomatoes, bean, cucumbers, squash and even the first batch of estate honey for sale at the winery.
