We have had a very busy spring after a brutally cold and unending winter. The vines came through with a 100% survival. We were looking at a fantastic start with warm dry weather and lots of fruiting buds until a nasty frost decided to descend from the North in late May. Fortunately not all was lost, Mark and the vineyard crew burned 100’s of hay bales mitigating a lot of the potential damage.
 
Our wines continue to receive great critical acclaim from both top international and local journalists/publications including The Wall Street Journal, Jancis Robinson, Dr Jaime Goode, David Lawrason and John Szabo.
 
Our Chardonnays will be showcased again at the International Cool Climate Chardonnay conference in Niagara, July 17th-19th. I call this “The greatest Chardonnay Show on Earth”. We look forward to welcoming you back this summer, the tasting room is open 7 days a week and the pizza oven will be firing Thursday through Monday 11am till 6pm in July and August. Given Canada day is on a Wednesday we will be firing the oven next Tuesday and Wednesday as well. As always, the irrepressible John Bil from Toronto’s best fish monger/restaurant Honest Weight will be shucking oysters each Sunday as well.
