The 2015 Harvest is upon us and we would love it if you could join us for our Harvest Party. We are scheduled to pick Saturday October 10th. If you are interested in helping out please sign up below.
If rain is forecast for the weekend please keep checking your email as we will notify you if anything changes (we can’t pick in the rain). Be sure to bring a few warm layers as it can be quite chilly in the county.

Details of the Pick

The pick on Saturday will start at 9:30 a.m. and we will serve a delicious lunch at about 2:30 p.m. With lunch there will be lots of cold beer with wine from the previous vintage. Please bring yourself some light snacks and drinks for the in-between times and we will send some delicious wood-fired pizzas out to the field around noon.
Again, if you are interested, please sign up below.

This is a family affair, and as always, children are very welcome; however, we advise against bringing dogs, as you will have a large vet bill 24 hours after your dog has consumed a few pounds of grapes!

UPDATE:
First, a big thank you for your RSVP to our annual harvest at Norman Hardie this Saturday, October 10. I am very excited to host you at the winery for the day and welcome people of all ages who come ready to get hands on picking grapes and helping with the harvest. We have been overwhelmed by the amount of people that want to help us this weekend. Many hands will surely make short work.
This Saturday is set to be a beautiful day but be sure to wear lots of layers and be ready to get your hands dirty.  The day may start chilly but once you are into the rhythm of picking grapes you will warm up quickly.

So you are prepared for the day, I have attached an Itinerary below. I kindly ask that you arrive on time so the winemaking team can guide you all through how we are going to pick and organize the fruit.

9:30 am – The winemaking team will direct the group on grape picking. (we will all head out in the field for the rest of the morning)

noon – Pizzas from our wood fired oven will be sent out to the vineyards. (please bring snacks to tide you over until then)

3 pm – When we are finished picking a delicious lunch will be served for all who participated in the pick!

Again I’d like to thank you for making this harvest possible. As mentioned in the newsletter we are beholden to mother nature so keep an eye on your email inbox; if it’s raining we will have to delay. As it stands, we are all set  for a great day of working hard and playing harder.

Cheers,

Norm
