With the 2013 vintage now behind us and ageing in barrel, I am pleased to announce the release of our 2012 County Pinot Noir, 2012 County Chardonnay and 2012 County Cabernet Franc. All the wines are showing classic minerality and finesse that one expects from our limestone clay rich soils. There also seems to be a deeper depth of flavour than previous vintages, which I feel is a combination of enhanced viticulture, older vines and a more experienced cellar crew.
In 2013 we received a tremendous amount of outstanding critical acclaim from top international and local wine critics. This praise included being named “Top North American Chardonnay” in the European publication “World of Fine Wine”. In addition, Jamie Goode (Top UK Journalist) and I had the opportunity to taste a vertical of my Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs from 2007 through 2011. His review reinforced to me the notion that crafting wines from limestone soils that are well structured and balanced in their youth (approachable and enjoyable) have the potential to age well as mine have. It also reinforced to me how incredible our soils are and there is nowhere else in the world I would rather be growing/making wine other than here in Ontario.
I hope some of our 100% locally grown and crafted wines will be enjoyed at the table with great food, friends and family over the holidays. Johannes, my accountant, reminds me that they also make outstanding gifts as well. No adult has ever been disappointed with the gift of delicious wine!!! As always we offer free delivery for orders over $200 or more, mixed cases welcome.

Cheers
