We’ve had a spectacular 2013 harvest. The dry, warm days in September and October could not have been more ideal. Many thanks to my incredible Thai vineyard crew and cellar team who have worked fastidiously and inexhaustibly to make this year such a special harvest. I would also like to applaud our determined volunteer pickers who managed to find a second wind after a morning of picking to return to pick the last few tons of Chardonnay before the impending torrential rains the following day. This enthusiasm and spirit has an integral part in raising the quality of my wines each year.
Our New Website
Many bottles and vintages of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir later, our new website (3 years in the making) is up and live. We are out of the dark ages and the new website will now work on all interfaces (iPhones, iPads, Android phones, computers). The new website truly captures the energy and the sense of place that we have here. Thanks to ecentricarts Inc. and nya_media for doing such a fantastic job.
2012 County Chardonnay Release
Our County Chardonnay has somehow achieved a “cult” following. Over the last three years we have garnered some incredible international acclaim, including top North American Chardonnay in the highly esteemed publication of The World of Fine Wine as well as Matt Kramer’s Wine of the Year in the Wine Spectator. The style of the 2012 County Chardonnay is reminiscent of the 2008 and 2010 vintage, showing the complexity and mouthfeel of the 2008 and the concentration of fruit and minerality of the 2010. Post-release this wine will be tightly allocated due to the limited production (yields less than 1 kg/vine).
