The magnificent and small-ish 2022 Harvest is finally coming to a close, with just 20 tonnes of Cabernet Franc left to be pressed off and put to barrel. Thanks to the incredible and diligent work of our Thai field workers, the vineyard is now buried safely for the winter. Our amazing crew laid down over 300,000 canes in less than a month. All 80,000 plants plus 300,000 canes have been completely buried with soil for the winter, protecting them from the cold and ensuring us a crop next year, even if the temperatures go to -30 this winter.
With the Holiday season just around the corner, we have put together three very interesting 6-packs for you to treat yourself or to treat your wine-loving friends. The following mixed 6-packs are now available at the winery and online. All three qualify for free shipping across Canada:
- Vertical Back-Vintage Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays: Digging deep into the cellar, this back-vintage 6 bottle collection contains one bottle each of the 2014, 2015 and 2016 Chardonnays. All still fairly youthful but showing some lovely maturity. It also includes one bottle each of our 2015, 2016 and 2017 Pinot Noirs. 2015 is the fullest bodied and the 2016 and 2017 are both showing pure elegance. Each year is different, and our goal is always to make craft wines that are representative of the vintage. In layman’s terms this means in cooler vintages our wines are fresher, lighter and with more acidity, in warmer vintages bigger and richer. Hence the 2015 Pinot being the fullest. $340 including free delivery across Canada.
- Vertical Back-Vintage Pinot Noirs: This pack contains three beautiful but very distinct vintages. Included are two bottles each of our 2015, 2016 and 2017 Pinot Noirs. 2015 was a classic, 2016 was warm yet cool, and 2017 was cool. While the vintage variation characteristics will show through, ultimately the terroir shows tremendous consistency of quality for all three. Great way to compare the same vineyard in different years. $360 including free delivery across Canada.

All winter we will be serving piping hot Bolognese lasagnas (vegetarian option available), classic French onion soup (vegan option available), fresh East Coast oysters, and our cold-smoked local trout. On Saturday, November 26th we are excited to be hosting a one day only pop-up shop with Big Wide Outside. This young and innovative company has some of the most amazing products to enhance your outdoor living experience. Everything is locally designed and sourced by two entrepreneurial women. Among other things they will be showcasing contemporary eco-friendly lighting, wool blankets, unique charcuterie boards (you have to see them to believe them), and great urban outdoor fire pits.
