Our doors are finally now fully opened. Our pizza oven and outdoor tasting bars are open just in time for the wonderful weather we’ve been having. Erica has done a phenomenal job hiring what I feel is the best team of employees we’ve ever had. We’ve onboarded over 45 local students, and a small number of students from La Belle Province (Quebec).
The property is in amazing shape thanks to the hard work of Mark, Freddie, and Nick over the Winter and Spring. The vineyard is thriving under the great care of our Thai Vineyard crew and Luciano, our resident jardiniere. We’re also incredibly proud to exhibit the amazing work of Zimbabwean-Canadian stone sculptor Chaka Chikodzi. His sculptures fit perfectly with the simple, natural aesthetic of the winery, and are quickly finding their way from here into our guests’ homes. If you find yourself waiting for a table, grab a glass of wine and have a wander through the sculpture garden (click for video)!
Back by popular demand and just in time for summer drinking, we’ve decided to put together a vertical 3-pack (one bottle of each) or 6-pack (two bottles of each) of our 2014, 2015, and 2016 Niagara Chardonnays. This is a great way to see vintage variation and how well our Chardonnays age despite using little to no sulphur. Our 2016 has recently received an enviable 17.5 from Jancis Robinson, and the 2014 and 2015 vintages received similar acclaim which can be found on our website
If you can’t make it to the County, we look forward to bringing the County to you. We ship across Canada including Quebec via our online store. We have competitive shipping rates (subsidized by us), with free shipping on any Ontario orders $90 or more. We look forward to bringing a little County magic to your table somewhere in Canada. We’ve never heard of anyone upset at receiving the gift of wine, whether for themselves or for friends.

Cheers and here’s to a great summer from all of us at Norman Hardie Winery
