I am pleased to announce the release of our much anticipated 2010 County Chardonnay. This wine, like all others I make, is a story in a bottle. A story of where this wine was laboriously grown and made, as all of you know who ever helped us at harvest or during the growing season. When Matt Kramer tasted our 08 County Chardonnay, he said “it’s like discovering Chablis had a long lost brother who had emigrated to Canada and didn’t know it”. The 2010 County Chardonnay is no different; very focused palate, wonderfully structured acidity and an unending mineral finish. If you are a fan of big new world Chardonnays, please do not buy this wine as you will be disappointed. If you love Burgundy, this wine is sure to please!!
I am humbled by the many great wine reviews our team received this year including just recently being chosen as one of Wine Spectator Matt Kramer’s top 3 wines of the year and being recognized as the #1 new world pinot (finishing fifth overall internationally) at the Pinot Noir Jugement de Montreal. A big thank you to my dedicated and tireless team and for your support. Your support allows us to push the limits and make world class right here in Ontario.
