From all of us at Norman Hardie Winery wish you all the best in 2022. May it be a fantastic year for you and hopefully we will see the end of COVID (and the Doug Ford appearances).

Right from the onset of COVID, we took the approach that we were going to remain open safely and not curl up and wait until COVID ran its course. We built new cabanas, outdoor tasting rooms, and a working environment allowing staff and customers to remain safe and to enjoy outdoor life during these difficult times.

This Winter we have lots of fire pits and outdoor cabanas to safely enjoy the outdoors, taste delicious wine, and get a little fresh air. We are serving piping hot individual lasagnas, in-house cured and smoked local trout, fresh PEI oysters and warm cast-iron olives all served with toasted sourdough bread from Mattachioni. Once restrictions are lifted, we will be offering tastings and food both indoors, and outdoors fireside.

We’ve just released our second bottling of the John Bil Cuvée. This Cuvée changes every year and allows us to push the boundaries on both fermentation and potential blends. Our oyster crew who shucked on the John Bil Oyster Bar sold the first bottling in less than a week. This bottling is a magnificent blend of Chardonnay and bone-dry Riesling. An ideal match with fresh seafood and particularly great with briny, fresh, East-coast oysters. For those who didn’t know John, please scan the QR code below where you’ll find a heartfelt and true ode to this remarkable man.

We hope you have an opportunity to come and visit to enjoy our outdoor food program, stroll among the magnificent sculptures of Chaka Chikodzi with a glass of wine and enjoy a bit of fresh air to keep some sanity. We will be open daily from 11am to 5pm through the winter.

As always if you can’t make it here, we can bring the County to your doorstep via our online store (click here). Free delivery for Ontario orders $90 or more, and free delivery to the rest of Canada including Quebec on orders $200 or more. Mixed bottle cases are welcomed.

Cheers,

The Norman Hardie Winery Team
